Marching Bands in Texas are only allowed to advance up to Area and State levels every other year. This is mainly due to logistics and site/judge availability. This is a 3A advancing year. Region 3 advanced Kemp High School Band to the Area Level along with 4 other bands. There are 7 regions in our Area. Area "B" covers all of North Texas from the Wichita Falls area over to Paris and down to north of Waco. Each of the region's bands that earn a division 1 rating will send those groups to C.H. Collins Stadium in Denton on Saturday October 28th where the bands will compete in a Prelims/Finals style competition to send a small number of bands to the State Level competition. That would be November 5th through 7th in San Antonio.
