Request for Sealed Bids for Student-Built Tiny Home

Students in the KHS Geometry in Construction career and technical education (CTE) program have constructed a tiny house during the 2021-2022 school year.
The Kemp Independent School District requests sealed bids from all interested parties for the purchase of the tiny house.

STAAR Scores

Click the headline to go to the Texas Assessment website for STAAR Scores. On the website look for “Find My Access Code” located at the bottom of the purple login box. After entering your child's first name, date of birth and social security or “S” number, you will be provided an Access Code so you can login into the portal.

Summer Feeding Program

Summer is just around the corner and Kemp ISD is excited to share that from June 6th - 23rd, *Monday through Thursday*, breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:00 and lunch will be served from 12:05-12:35 at the Kemp High School cafeteria.

The Summer Meal Programs are offering healthy meals for kids 18 and younger, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old at no cost. Find additional sites near you by visiting SummerFood.org or Text FOOD to 304-304. Please share this with friends, family, and community members.

KJH Sweetheart Dance February 11th

Public Comment on Federal Grant Applications – Notice of Intent to Apply for Federal Funds

Kemp ISD hereby gives notice to the public that it intends to file the following application(s) for federal grant funds with the Texas Education Agency.
If your facility is a private school, you could be eligible for Title I, Part A. If you are a private non-profit school that includes nonprofit facilities for neglected and delinquent, you could be eligible for multiple parts of the grant funding. Through IDEA B eligible students could be entitled to receive qualified services.

Summer School and Summer Food Program

Summer school will be from June 1st through June 24th. Kemp ISD will serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday at Kemp High School 220 ST HWY 274 Kemp TX. 75143. Students will be able to take home breakfast and lunch for Friday on Thursday.

Athletic Awards

The 2020-2021 Athletic Awards Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at Kemp High School.

All of the libraries in Kemp ISD will be offering the option for virtual learners to request library books to read at home. We have tried to make this process as simple as possible. Click the headline for more information.

Texas Elks Camp

Texas Elks Camp provides special needs and foster children an opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. Campers are encouraged to make their own decisions, become more independent and accept new challenges.
​Any child with special needs or in foster care age 7 to 16, who is a resident of the state of Texas is eligible for admission to the Texas Elks Camp. No child is denied acceptance on the basis of his or her income level, ethnic origin, race, creed, color or religion. There is no fee. Campers are accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Our basketball game with Blooming Grove, Tuesday December 22nd has been postponed because they are in quarantine. Message from Blooming Grove:
"Blooming Grove's boys basketball team is quarantined so our game scheduled for Tuesday, December 22nd will be postponed. At this time, a makeup date has not been decided."

Kemp Yellowjacket Football vs. Krum Bobcats

The Kemp Yellowjacket varsity football team will be playing the Krum Bobcats on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Mesquite Hanby Stadium. The address is 410 E. Davis Street, Mesquite, TX 75149. We will be the Visiting team.

Tickets are on sale for $5 each and can be bought at Kemp High School or KISD Administration building. Presale tickets only. No tickets will be sold at the gate. No passes will be accepted.
