Conclusion of Remote Learning

In order to provide the best educational opportunity for our students to succeed, we have determined all students will return for in-person learning on or before Thursday, November 12, 2020. We recommend any students who are currently failing return to campus immediately in order to receive the needed support to improve their academic standing.

Kemp ISD School Closure

Kemp ISD has had several recent positive COVID-19 cases with large numbers of close contacts and as a result, we have chosen to close our campus buildings Thursday, October 15th through Sunday, October 18th for deep cleaning and sanitization of our facilities. School will re-open on Monday, October 19th at regular time.

Kemp Yellowjacket Football vs. Krum Bobcats

The Kemp Yellowjacket varsity football team will be playing the Krum Bobcats on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Mesquite Hanby Stadium. The address is 410 E. Davis Street, Mesquite, TX 75149. We will be the Visiting team.

Tickets are on sale for $5 each and can be bought at Kemp High School or KISD Administration building. Presale tickets only. No tickets will be sold at the gate. No passes will be accepted.

Athletic Events Rescheduled

JH and JV Football scheduled for today vs MalakofF has been rescheduled for Nov 5 with the same times and locations.

Varsity football scheduled for October 14 vs Malakoff has been rescheduled for November 6th. Same time and location.

JV and Varsity Volleyball scheduled today vs Malakoff has been rescheduled. Date and time is TBD.

2. Select “Get Tickets” for the event you want to buy tickets for.
3. For Presale -bottom left, click “Have Passcode?” And enter yellowjacket2020. This will give you access to buy the tickets.
4. For general public - you will not need a passcode.

Return to School Plan 2020-2021

As a school district, Kemp ISD looks forward to welcoming students back to school on September 1. Thank you for your patience as we work through the process of creating a plan that allows the safest return to school. As the public health crisis continues, we have been planning for the opening of the 2020-21 school year with a focus on the health, safety and well-being of our staff, students and community. Despite the challenges with COVID-19, Kemp ISD is prepared to provide learning environments to meet individual student needs. We will offer both in-person and remote learning to our students.

Kemp ISD Volleyball Covid-19 Guidelines

For home Volleyball games, tickets will be sold at the gate. They will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. Under UIL guidelines we can only allow 50% capacity in the gym. 160 will be allowed on the home side and 130 will be allowed on the visitors side. NO PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED BESIDES SILVER JACKET PASSES. To help with social distancing, the seats marked with tape should not be used. All COVID protocol will be posted and should be followed.

We plan on going to online ticketing in the near future, however that option is not available at this time. You will be given notification when we switch to the online pre sale option.

Football Games Rescheduled

ll football games scheduled this week vs. Fairfield have been rescheduled for October 29th and October 31st. Fairfield had several students test positive for COVID, so they are unable to play this week.
Also, District 8-3A Division 1 voted to alter the remaining district football dates to allow for more flex dates so rescheduled games can be made up. Please see the link provided for those dates and times. Thank you again for your support.

Friday Night / Varsity Game:
The visiting school will have 485 tickets available for purchase.
Tickets will be available for purchase online beginning each Monday morning for the upcoming Friday night game.

Band, Cheerleaders, and any personnel located on the field will not be required to have a ticket.
The visiting band will be seated on the track by the south endzone (scoreboard end). Three small (emphasis on small) sets of bleachers will be provided. If additional seating is needed they will need to bring chairs.
Band bus and cheerleader bus parking is available in the parking lot behind the visitors stands.
Pass holders which include THSCA, District passes, and Senior Citizen will be honored. Pass holders will be required to redeem an online ticket using the passcode below.

We highly recommend that everyone uses the online ticketing system.
Cash tickets will be available at the gate. A person that chooses this option will be required to read and sign a COVID Attestation form prior to purchasing a ticket.

How to purchase tickets for Scurry Rosser game on Friday

Scurry-Rosser ISD has gone to an online ticket service for all Athletic events. Kemp fans will need to go to the attached link on our web page to purchase advance tickets. There will be no cash entry to the games. Also, we will not be accepting passes of any kind and everyone must have a ticket.

All Visitor tickets will have a passcode of visitor2020 to protect your allotment of tickets. Please distribute this information as you see fit.

UIL is fall sports

UIL is allowing fall sports (football, volleyball, and cross country) to start on August 3rd. All athletes must go to Rank One and complete their online paperwork prior to August 3rd (The link is provided below). Also, if your physical was good last year, you will not have to get one this year. All incoming 7th graders will need to get a physical. Your coaches will be in contact with all athletes about start times and practice dates.

Summer strength and conditioning camp will re-open July 13th

Summer Strength and conditioning camp will re-open July 13th. The skills session will start at 7:15 am and the strength camp will start at 8:00 am. All 7th-12th grade athletes are invited. All Athletes must have a mask on to attend. The athlete will be allowed to remove the mask while they are doing the drill, lift, or skill, but they must put the mask back on while waiting. Any parent wanting to stay and watch while socially distancing must also wear a mask. All social distancing guidelines will apply as well as the protocol for entering and exiting the facility. RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION is now open in Parent Portal for students who plan to return to KISD for the 2020-2021 school year. In addition to completing registration, all families must submit proof of residence - i.e. utility bill, lease/mortgage agreement - dated within 30 days of submission and/or the first day of school.

For directions to establish a Parent Portal account or access to your Student Portal ID, please fill out the request form at the link below. Note, the email address submitted in the request form must match the parent email in our system. All requests will be processed within 48 hours of receipt.
