Pickup locations for Grade Level Activity Logs

This is a follow-up to our message from yesterday’s (Monday, March 23rd) post regarding our “Continuing to Learn At-Home Plan,” during our closure due to the coronavirus.

In that message, we shared that those who are not able to digitally access and print the grade level activity logs, could pick up hard copies on Wednesday, March 25th from 4:00-7:00 PM at 4 locations in our district boundaries.

Special Education Parent Training

Kemp ISD is offering information sessions for our parents of students who are receiving special education services. We hope to give you some tools, activities, and ideas that will help you with your child’s development. The sessions for the 2019-20 school year will be at the Kemp Education Service Center (KESC) at 204 West 17th Street.

Kemp FFA Ag Mechanics competes at Heart of Texas Fair

Several members of the Kemp FFA Ag Mechanics team traveled to Waco, Tx for the Heart of Texas Fair. The team of Shelby Currie and Kade Garrison competed with their BBQ Pit trailer winning 1st in class, and Division Champion. Both Currie and Garrison each won a $500.00 scholarship to be used at TSTC. The team of Vincent Conklin, Tyler Gilbert and Brandon Putman entered the Wildlife division with their deer feeder winning 2nd place in the class and received Reserve Division and each received a $250.00 scholarship to TSTC. Brody Becker completed the show with his Pony Walker in Livestock equipment winning 1st place in his class. Kemp FFA also won the Overall Sweepstakes award.

Huge Congratulations to the Lady Jackets Basketball

Lady Jackets Basketball team makes the playoffs! We could not be prouder of and for them! The Lady Jackets will play the Grandview Lady Zebras on Monday night February 17, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. at Ennis High School in Ennis, Texas. Ticket prices will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. Passes accepted will be District, TABC, THSCA, THSGCA, and Senior Citizens. Please come out and support these ladies on Monday!

Band Mattress Fundraiser

KEMP, TX - If you or someone you know is looking to replace a bed in your home, now is the time. The Kemp High School Band is excited to announce they will be hosting their 1st Annual one-day Mattress Fundraiser on Sunday, December 8th, from 11am - 6pm. Kemp Athletic Department

In our efforts to spread Christmas cheer, the Kemp Athletic Department is hosting a toy drive for children and families in need in Kemp. The drive will take place from November 18, 2019, through December 6, 2019. If you are able to, please bring one new and unwrapped toy to the high school.
