Kemp ISD School Closure

Kemp ISD has had several recent positive COVID-19 cases with large numbers of close contacts and as a result, we have chosen to close our campus buildings Thursday, October 15th through Sunday, October 18th for deep cleaning and sanitization of our facilities. School will re-open on Monday, October 19th at regular time.

Return to School Plan 2020-2021

As a school district, Kemp ISD looks forward to welcoming students back to school on September 1. Thank you for your patience as we work through the process of creating a plan that allows the safest return to school. As the public health crisis continues, we have been planning for the opening of the 2020-21 school year with a focus on the health, safety and well-being of our staff, students and community. Despite the challenges with COVID-19, Kemp ISD is prepared to provide learning environments to meet individual student needs. We will offer both in-person and remote learning to our students.

Kemp ISD Volleyball Covid-19 Guidelines

For home Volleyball games, tickets will be sold at the gate. They will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. Under UIL guidelines we can only allow 50% capacity in the gym. 160 will be allowed on the home side and 130 will be allowed on the visitors side. NO PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED BESIDES SILVER JACKET PASSES. To help with social distancing, the seats marked with tape should not be used. All COVID protocol will be posted and should be followed.

We plan on going to online ticketing in the near future, however that option is not available at this time. You will be given notification when we switch to the online pre sale option.

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION is now open in Parent Portal for students who plan to return to KISD for the 2020-2021 school year. In addition to completing registration, all families must submit proof of residence - i.e. utility bill, lease/mortgage agreement - dated within 30 days of submission and/or the first day of school.

For directions to establish a Parent Portal account or access to your Student Portal ID, please fill out the request form at the link below. Note, the email address submitted in the request form must match the parent email in our system. All requests will be processed within 48 hours of receipt.

Yellowjackets, special education records are routinely destroyed after 7 years of use. Pickup locations for Grade Level Activity Logs

This is a follow-up to our message from yesterday’s (Monday, March 23rd) post regarding our “Continuing to Learn At-Home Plan,” during our closure due to the coronavirus.

Parents, please watch this short video to make sure you are getting the most out of LivingTree. If you missed your welcome email to get the mobile app or temporary password don't worry, on Monday, another round of welcome emails will be sent out to the primary contact of every student who has not logged into the system yet. Parents, please don't mistake the emails you are already getting via LivingTree for the full LivingTree experience.
