About

Hello!  My name is Autumn Miller and I will be teaching 7th grade ELAR/Writing, along with one class of Theater this year.  This will be my 18th year in education, with most of those years as the 7th grade ELAR/Reading teacher.  I graduated from Mabank in 1982, then went on to college at San Angelo State University for track. I came back home and attended TVCC, and eventually went on to, and graduated from, the University of Texas @ Tyler. I have a 23 year old son, Austin, that is absolutely the love of my life.  He lives in North Dallas and will be marrying the love of his life, Sierra, in early December (I may love her just as much as he does).
My mother lives with me because of health reasons, but she is doing really well right now.  She is a retired school nurse, who also worked at Kemp back in the day, but retired from Mabank ISD in 1992.  She absolutely LOVED working in Kemp while she was here, and said that her time here would always remain near and dear to her.
I am looking forward to a very productive year with the incoming 7th graders!  I want us to laugh, as well as learn, and ALWAYS strive to be better.  More than anything, I want you to know there are always second chances in my classroom-third and fourth chances if needed.  "We" may not be successful the first time we try something, but as long as "we're" willing to try again, maybe take another approach, success will be within reach.   As long as you give effort and persevere, you can do whatever you put your mind to.
Have a great 2018-2019!
