About

Background:  I am proud to be a Kemp Alumni who married my high school sweetheart. Both our children are Kemp Graduates. We are blessed with six grandchildren.   One grandchild is attending Kemp Intermediate, and our only grandson is attending the High School. I was an Aide, sponsored both J.V. and Varsity Cheerleaders, along with the Drill Team for several years at the Kemp High School.  I received a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.  From 1999-2005,  I taught second and fourth grade at Malakoff Elementary.  In 2005, I returned to Kemp ISD, teaching seventh grade writing. The next year I taught seventh grade math and the last thirteen years eighth grade ELAR. I am proud to serve my community.  My goal is to have each student recognize his/her full potential.

Message: I predict a productive and great year not only for your child but for you and myself as well.  Included on my webpage you will fine the syllabus for your child's class, which will give you a general idea of the studies we will encounter this year.  I will have tutoring on Tuesday mornings 7:15 to 7:45 and Wednesday after school until 4:30.  Other arrangements can be made with prior notice.  I will put reminders out for tests and projects due dates by using Remind.com.  You will sign up and receive these reminders either on your phone or email.  I have a sheet that walks you through the steps to receive these messages.  If you have any questions or concerns please call 903-498-1343 or email me at the email address below.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child.
