Background: My journey to Kemp ISD began many years ago and let me say I am so blessed to be here! My childhood years were spent moving around the United States with my family as my father was a pilot in the Air Force. Attending schools in California, Waco, Del Rio, and San Antonio, Texas I graduated from High School in Chandler, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. College years were spent in Waco, Texas attending Baylor University, earning a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education. My first teaching job was in Dallas, TX teaching for Richardson ISD. I taught there for 12 years and then had the opportunity to stay home while my sons were babies. Upon my return to teaching, I found a Kindergarten position in Mabank ISD and taught there until 6 years ago when I heard Kemp ISD calling my name! I am delighted to be starting my 30th year in education and my 6th year with Kemp ISD.
My oldest son is a graduate of Texas State Technical College and he works as an aviation mechanic at the Mesquite Executive Airport. He recently earned his Private Pilot's Certificate and he is an FAA Licensed Drone operator, as well. My youngest son serves our country as an Airman in the United States Air Force. His grandfather, my father, is so proud of him for continuing the legacy of serving our country.
I will be welcoming 2 daughters-in-love into the family as both sons will wed this year! Happy times for our family!
