About Me

I have lived in Kemp since 1992 after retiring from the United States Air Force, after serving 21 years. I completed my Associates degree at Trinity Valley Community College. I completed both my BS and MS at the University of Texas at Tyler. Both of my boys went to school at Kemp. I am a member of the American Legion Post #310 as well as the American Legion Riders. I am also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. (https://www.patriotguard.org/)

I teach fourth grade Science, Social Studies, and Gifted and Talented at the Intermediate Campus. I am looking forward to my second year at the Intermediate and the GT program, of which I have a few ideas. I have worked with the district since @2003. I have taught third grade at the Primary Campus, seventh grade, and eighth grade science at the Junior High Campus and have been a Dyslexia Aide. I can be contacted at john.farmer@kempisd.org  or you can text message me at 903-227-6615.

Please contact me about your child anytime. I make it a point to respond to all emails within a day. Voice mails are listened to in the evening hours and I will respond via text message or email, if you leave an email address.
