Bio: An experienced teacher, Mr. Birnbaum has left the English department to return to his true loves--Social Studies and Journalism. A proud Yankee, he was born and raised in Philadelphia and earned his Bachelor's degree from Penn State University. After college, Mr. Birnbaum worked seven years at CNN (Atlanta), as a Video Journalist, Assistant Producer, and News Writer. He earned his Master's degree from Emerson College (Boston) and spent five years working in Public Relations (Atlanta, Los Angeles and Tulsa). In 2011, Mr. Birnbaum finally put down roots in Texas, where he's been teaching ever since. As a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Mr. Birnbaum bleeds midnight green. He wants to remind everyone who won the last Super Bowl. Mr. Birnbaum is married to a lovely east Texas lady, who's a Cowboys fan, but he forgives her for her flaws. She's a guidance counselor at a nearby district. They have three wonderful kids.
