Special Education Parent Training

Kemp ISD is offering information sessions for our parents of students who are receiving special education services. We hope to give you some tools, activities, and ideas that will help you with your child’s development. The sessions for the 2019-20 school year will be at the Kemp Education Service Center (KESC) at 204 West 17th Street, from 10:00-11:00 in the morning. Please RSVP to Rachel Kubala, M.S., CCC-SLP by email , or call the Special Education Office at 903-498-1400 ext.7000.

Kemp FFA Ag Mechanics competes at Heart of Texas Fair

Several members of the Kemp FFA Ag Mechanics team traveled to Waco, Tx for the Heart of Texas Fair. The team of Shelby Currie and Kade Garrison competed with their BBQ Pit trailer winning 1st in class, and Division Champion. Both Currie and Garrison each won a $500.00 scholarship to be used at TSTC. The team of Vincent Conklin, Tyler Gilbert and Brandon Putman entered the Wildlife division with their deer feeder winning 2nd place in the class and received Reserve Division and each received a $250.00 scholarship to TSTC. Brody Becker completed the show with his Pony Walker in Livestock equipment winning 1st place in his class. Kemp FFA also won the Overall Sweepstakes award.

Employees of the Month

Every month Kemp ISD honors employees from three key position types within the district. The recipients are acknowledged during the monthly school board meetings.

Mini Stingerette Dance Clinic

KHS Stingerettes are holding a Mini Dance clinic, Monday, October 21st at the KESC Building, Stingerette Auxiliary Gym. Registration starts at 4:30 pm, the clinic starts at 5 pm. Click the headline for more information and registration.

Residence Information Needed

To comply with recent state legislation and KISD requirements, we are respectfully requesting recent proof of residence from our school families. This may be in the form of a recent utility bill (electricity, gas, or water) or lease/mortgage documentation dated within the last 30 days. You may email this documentation to your campus registrar or send it with your student to submit to the school office. If you have students on multiple campuses, please note the student's name(s) and campus. All documentation must be received by October 18th. Please call your student's campus if you have any questions.
