Meeting Information

Below you’ll find information related to Kemp ISD School Board meetings, including meeting dates, agendas, minutes, and policies. Please note that all dates are subject to change. To confirm a meeting date or for additional information, contact Chrissy Mueller at 903-498-1400, Ext. 6021.

  • Trustees usually meet on the third Monday of each month in the Kemp Intermediate Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of regular and special meetings will be posted on the front door of the central administration office at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting time. (Please see the web link.) The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with a two-hour notice. All meetings are open to the public. Under the following circumstances, Texas law permits the board to go into a closed session. Closed session may occur for such things as discussing prospective gifts or donations, real property acquisition, personnel issues including conferences with employees and employee complaints, security matters, student discipline, or to consult with attorneys.

  • The agenda and minutes include the topics and items to be discussed and acted upon during a school board meeting, along with the official written record of the proceedings and decisions made.

    Note about Board Meeting Minutes:
    The Board Meeting Minutes will not be available until they are approved. Approval of the minutes generally occurs at the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting.
